There are two shops at the north end of the High Road, Alans Record & CD Shop and Black Gull Books, The sort of shops you didn't think existed anymore. Each offers an absolute treasure trove of second-hand vinyl and books.

We really look forward to the East Finchley Community Festival which is the focal point of the year. Held in Cherry Tree Wood, it is a mix of live music and performance art, children’s activities, sports, local craft and food stalls and a licenced bar, attracts thousands of visitors of all ages.
